Theatre Skills for Art and Life
Pre-K through 2nd Grade
Kids are never too young to learn the basics of theatre: listening, working together, self-expression, problem solving and thinking ahead. Our experiential workshops and residencies are designed to help even the youngest kids learn important life skills through fun theatre games and songs.
Available as a single workshop or long-term residency.
3rd through 8th Grade
Putting on a show requires more skills than just acting, writing, directing and design. Students have to be able to effectively express themselves, work well with others, lead when required, solve problems, set goals and follow through, take responsibility for their choices and stand up and be heard.
Express workshops use the fundamentals of theatre to teach these valuable life skills in fun and supportive ways. At the conclusion of the residencies, students perform a rollicking display of the stage craft and life skills they’ve learned – from a scene or two o a full-scale play, depending on the length of the residency. Our goal is to help participants be better students, artists, family members and citizens by sharpening their creativity, expression, self-awareness and people skills.
You can add or subtract to our roster of skills according to what you’d like your students to focus on.
We offer everything from single sessions to 12 Week Residencies.
